7 Potential Benefits of CBD

Thousands of years ago, cannabis was used by healers and doctors across the world. Only in the last 50 years have scientists discovered the biological processes behind cannabis benefits, where plants work in synergy with our physiologies.

1. Anxiety and Depression

One in four adults, within their lifetime, will experience anxiety that could impact their overall health. CBD could be a powerful treatment option for anxiety.

The brain's hippocampus is part of the limbic system, which is responsible for long term memory processing and emotional responses. Individuals that suffer from depression and stress disorders have been found to have a smaller hippocampus than average.

Research has proven that CBD increases anandamine (bliss molecule) levels. The CB1 and CB2 receptors were activated and neurons in the hippocampus were regenerated.

One study chose two groups of individuals, all of which had a phobia of public speaking. One group was administered a placebo. The other group was administered CBD. The CBD group exhibited significantly less anxiety.

A Brazilian study chose two groups of patients with Social Anxiety Disorder and scanned their brains. One group was administered a placebo. The other group was administered CBD. The CBD group, over a short period of time, reported a significant decrease in anxiety. Brain scans were again conducted, and it was discovered that the brain flow increased in the subjects that took CBD.

2. Inflammation

Inflammation is the body's response to an injury or infection. Inflammation is also the root of autoimmunity and chronic health conditions.

CBD oil interacts with the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) to target and potentially reduce inflammation.

Research shows that CBD has a potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties, leading to anti-inflammatory effects.

3. Pain Relief

Currently, approximately 100 million US residents endure chronic pain. Cannabis, including CBD, is a possible natural approach to pain control.

When the endocannabinoid system is activated by CBD, nerve cells are regulated, reducing pain and inflammation.

CBD has been found effective in relieving pain levels in individuals with cancer, neuropathy, spasticity, headache, migraines, and acute and chronic pain.

 4. Promotes Brain (Neurological) Health

5.  Increase Bone Density

CBD can facilitate new cell formation, helping heal broken bones faster and decreasing the chance of new breaks. CBD could be useful for those with bone related conditions, such as osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.

6. Replenish Skin

7. Heart Health
